For a century, Yanmar has been renowned worldwide for its compact and durable diesel engines and machinery since its founding in 1912. Among its innovations, Yanmar introduced the world's first commercially viable small diesel engine—a milestone that not only marked the birth of compact diesel power but also brought tremendous convenience to workers of the era, transforming countless lives.
The OKMO 1110 Engine model is primarily based on Yanmar's S model engine produced between 1932 and 1945. The 1110 Engine model not only preserves the compact proportions of the original S Model Engine but also replicates its key components and operational details. This allows mechanical enthusiasts and collectors to relive the design ingenuity and mechanical beauty of the S Model Engine through the 1110 model engine, while experiencing the innovative power and labor spirit Yanmar has brought to the world.
In 1933, Yanmar successfully developed the HB—the world's first viable small diesel engine. This compact, horizontally mounted water-cooled diesel engine delivered 5 to 6 horsepower. Its design made diesel power practical and portable, accelerating mechanization in agriculture, fisheries, and light industry.
Yanmar's founder, Magokichi Yamaoka, recognized Japan's resource constraints and dedicated himself to creating a durable, fuel-efficient engine—achieving success with the HB. The HB series engines were simple to operate and significantly reduced the size and weight of diesel engines, enabling easy movement by a single person. This design allowed the HB engines to be widely adopted in agriculture, powering rice hullers, irrigation pumps, and other machinery.

The S model engine is an extension of the compact diesel engine family developed following the success of the HB model. It represents a technical evolution and refinement of the HB model engine, while also being suitable for mass production and expanding its application scenarios.
Replicating a miniature, functional model demands high precision in parts. The S model engine, validated through mass production, features a more mature mechanical structure that serves as a valuable reference for the 1110 engine's replica design.
The S Model's compact structure, standardized components, and reliable starting system ensure the replicated 1110 miniature model can start authentically and operate stably.
The 1110 engine model is not merely a replica of Yanmar's classic design; it incorporates innovative engineering and meticulous craftsmanship, allowing every mechanical enthusiast to experience the beauty of machinery firsthand.
Featuring precision CNC-machined cylinders and pistons, a comprehensive lubrication system, and a large-capacity water tank, the 1110 model ensures stable operation during use, making every rotation more mechanically captivating.
Additionally, the 1110 engine model incorporates removable and operable components, allowing enthusiasts to perform modifications and DIY projects for a more immersive experience.
Educationally, the 1110 serves not only enthusiasts but also beginners learning engine principles and power mechanisms. Through observation and hands-on operation, it facilitates deeper understanding of mechanical structures and engine functionality.
With its exquisite craftsmanship and robust replica design, the 1110 radiates mechanical aesthetics and timeless charm—whether displayed, collected, or gifted.
